はじめに
現在担当しているプロジェクトでは、Datadogを日々の運用に活用しています。 ただ、使っているうちに「体系的に学び直したい」「曖昧なままにしている機能をきちんと理解したい」と感じることも増えてきました。
Datadog には「Learning Center」という公式の学習サイトがあります。 時間を見つけてコツコツ取り組み、2025年3月時点で用意されていた 全77コースを修了しました。
本記事では、実際にすべてのコースを受講して感じたことや、お気に入りのコースをご紹介します。 Datadogの理解を深めたい方や、効率よく学びたい方の参考になれば幸いです。
Datadog Learning Center とは
Datadog Learning Center は、Datadog 公式が提供している無料の学習サイトです。

Datadog の基本的な使い方から、実際の運用に役立つ実践的な操作まで、体系的に学べる構成になっています。
各コースは「TEXT」と「LAB」で構成されており、TEXT では機能や概念の解説を読み、LAB では実際に手を動かして操作を体験できます。LAB では専用の Datadog アカウントが自動的に払い出され、Agent の設定やアプリへの適用方法など、普段の業務に近い形で学べる点が非常に魅力的です。
簡潔な TEXT 資材で短時間で効率よく学ぶことができます。
TEXT だけでなく実際の環境が無料で払い出されるのとても魅力的に思いました。
また、複数のコースをまとめた「Learning Path」も用意されており、「どこから始めればいいかわからない」という方にも優しい設計になっています。学習には制限時間が設けられており、集中して取り組める環境になっています。
私自身、2025年2月の時点で用意されていた70コースを完了した直後、翌月には77コースに増えていることに気づきました。Datadogの進化に合わせて、Learning Centerも継続的にアップデートされているようです。
おすすめコース３選
基礎から応用まで魅力的なコースがたくさんありますが、今回はその中でも特におすすめしたい3つをピックアップしてご紹介します。
Kubernetes
Kubernetes Monitoring Learning Path
1つ目からコースではないのですが「Kubernetes の Learning Path」のご紹介になります。 このパスでは、Kubernetes 環境に Datadog を導入するための基礎から応用まで、一通りの流れを体系的に学ぶことができます。
Agent のインストール方法はもちろん、Kubernetes の各コンポーネントの監視方法や、実際にデプロイされたワークロードのモニタリングまで幅広くカバーされています。
Kubernetes に Datadog を導入しようと考えている方はもちろん、すでに運用中の方にとっても復習や理解の深掘りにぴったりの教材です。
APM
Diagnosing Application Bugs with Datadog APM
2つ目は、Datadog の主要機能のひとつである APM（Application Performance Monitoring） に関するコースです。
このコースでは、実際のアプリケーションのトラブルシューティングを疑似体験できます。 APM の基礎や設定方法をひと通り学んだ後に取り組むことで、より理解が深まるはずです。
トラブル解決のプロセスから学ぶスタイルなので、業務での活用シーンをイメージしやすく、実践的な知識が身につきます。
AWS
Getting Started with Serverless Monitoring on AWS
最後にご紹介するのは、AWS に関連したコースです。
このコースでは、Datadog と AWS を連携させた監視方法を実際に体験できます。おもしろいのは、Datadog だけでなく AWS のアカウントも自動で払い出される点。Lambda や API Gateway、SQS を使った構成を手で動かしながら試せるので、すぐにモニタリングの感覚をつかむことができます。
特に、Lambda の監視設定やトレースの取り方など、「AWS でアプリを動かしてるけど、Datadog ではどう見ればいいの？」という疑問に対して、実践的に学べるのが魅力です。
また、AWS アカウントがなくても受講できるので、「ちょっと触ってみたい」「社内の環境では試せない」といった方にもぴったりの内容です。
おわりに
Datadog をすでに使っている方はもちろん、これから導入を検討している方にも Datadog Learning Center は本当におすすめです。 ただ読むだけではなく、実際に手を動かしながら学べるハンズオン形式のコースが揃っているので、習った内容をすぐに体感できるのが大きな魅力です。
「なんとなく使っていたけど、こんな機能もあったのか！」といった 新たな発見もきっとあるはずかと思います。 導入を検討中の方も、実際の画面を触りながら試せるので、Datadog の強みや使い勝手をしっかり実感できると思います。
